BUILDING A CAREER WITH INSITE & THE THERMOSASH GROUP

Facade installation is a highly complex and rewarding trade. Insite can offer a training and development programme that is designed to help our employees learn the specific knowledge and skills to build a career at their own pace. With a combination of inhouse installation training, the BCITO apprenticeship schemes and our levels of competency pathway we can continue to develop all site staff no matter their previous experience or abilities.

We offer full training and mentoring to all our employees with opportunities to move up within the business via the LOC pathway. We also pride ourselves on providing a culturally diverse and open team environment.

1. Level of Competency (LOC) Pathway

The LOC was created as an in-house training programme so that our installers can move up levels from beginner to Senior Team Leader and learn the required responsibilities at each level.

2. BCITO Apprenticeship available to Insite Staff

  1. NZ Certificate in Architectural Aluminium Joinery (Installer) Level 4 (BCITO)
  2. New Zealand Certificate in Architectural Aluminium Joinery: Installer with Repairs and Maintenance Level 4 (BCITO)
  3. New Zealand Certificate in Construction Trades - Supervisor Level 4 (BCITO)

The certificates are run by BCITO and are NZQA accredited (around 90-100 credits). The training is done on site while you work. BCITO provides the curriculum and resources you need, while you learn onsite. A BCITO Training Advisor will visit you to ensure you are on-track with your study. The AAJ Apprenticeship is around 18 months long.

3. Inhouse Safety and Installation Training

All our staff are very highly trained and require both inhouse and external training to be deemed competent to work at height, with machinery and carry out our installation procedures. This is a process linked to the LOC pathway and based on each individual's development. Insite Facades also have an inhouse installation training manual that staff are taken through to reach our high-quality standards.
