Jonathan Calder

Pre-Construction Director

Jonathan Calder - formerly Managing Director of Insite Facades is now the Pre-Construction Director at Thermosash Commercial Ltd.  Insite Facades has been fully integrated into Thermosash Commercial Ltd.

Jonathan started Insite Aluminium Limited in 1988 as a commercial facade installation company. In 2007 Insite Facades Ltd was formed to offer design, supply and installation of specialist rainscreen cladding contracts to the construction industry. In 2014 Insite Facades Ltd was acquired by the Thermosash Group.

He has over 35 years’ experience in the construction industry and has overseen the successful implementation of major projects. He has a broad range of leadership experience from project commercial and procurement accountability to managing business transformation and change through business growth.

Luke Barnes

Operations Manager - Construction

Luke completed a Bachelor of Construction Management in 2009 whilst undertaking a Construction Management Cadetship with Multiplex Construction (NZ) where he worked alongside Insite Facades as Multiplex's Facade Supervisor.

In 2010, Luke joined Insite Facades as a facade installer, progressing quickly to a Site Foreman. When Thermosash Group acquired Insite Facades in 2014, Luke was promoted to Operations Manager.

In 2025 Insite Facades was fully integrated into Thermosash Commercial Ltd, and Luke continues to build and develop Thermosash's installation side of the business in his role as Operations Manager- Construction.

Stephen King

Senior Project & Technical Manager - Rainscreen

Steve joined Insite Facades Ltd in April 2017 as a Project Manager for our Rainscreen projects division, he then progressed to Rainscreen Operations Manager, co-ordinating the design, engineering, procurement, manufacture and installation of Insite's Rainscreen Projects.

In mid 2025 Insite Facades was fully integrated into Thermosash Commercial Limited with Steve as the Senior Project & Technical Manager leading the delivery of rainscreen facade projects. He is the key liaison between clients, consultants and internal teams.

He has worked in the Metal Fabrication/Facade Industry for over 25-years in various roles including Project Management, Site Operations and Branch Management.

Under Insite Facades, Steve helped deliver award winning projects including the Auckland Art Gallery, Kings School Centennial Building, MPI Maurice Wilson Avenue and 132 Halsey Street Apartments.

Alan Heavey

Construction Manager

Alan has more than 35 years in the Facade Industry.

Under Insite Facades as the Construction Manager, he oversaw all of construction sites. Ensuring projects were delivered safely on time and to the highest quality.

In mid 2025 Insite Facades was fully integrated into Thermosash Commercial Ltd. Alan continues on as the Construction manager overseeing project delivery and utilising his experience to mentor and guide the in-house installation teams, developing them towards the goal of being world class facade installers and site managers.

Monica Canlas

Business Development & Systems Transition Support

Monica has been the Projects Administrator at Insite Facades for over three years, supporting both management and the site team.

With over 11 years of experience in the Middle East construction industry, she spent the majority of her career as a Business Development Executive/Contracts Administrator in an International Architecture and Interior Design Consultancy Firm for the Middle East and North Africa Regions.

In mid 2025 Insite Facades fully integrated into Thermosash Commercial Limited, and Monica is now providing Business Development and Systems Transition Support focusing on the rainscreen market, facade installation systems and service & maintenance.
